Russian Thunder is the first production Yak-54, and is one of the few all-metal "Unlimited" class, radial-engine aircraft being flown in aerobatic competition. The sound and presence of this remarkable aircraft are unique and unforgettable. Whereas most aerobatic aircraft are small and quick, Russian Thunder is big and powerful. This classic aircraft has recently been fully restored with a new engine, paint, and a number of critical components machined by hand to Jim's exacting standards.
