We are pleased to announce the aquisition of Russian Thunder by Jim Bourke on behalf of Extreme Aerosports.

Jim is well-known in the R/C industry as the owner of RCGroups.com and also as the General Manager of Knife Edge Software (www.knifeedge.com), the makers of the RealFlight R/C simulator (www.realflight.com).

While primarily known for his interests in model aircraft, Jim is no stranger to full scale aviation. The son of an aircraft broker, Jim earned his pilot's license as a teenager and has enjoyed a lifelong fascination with aircraft of all types. His new company, Extreme Aerosports, has been established to maintain and operate high performance aircraft.

Said Jim, "I'm very excited to be the new owner of Russian Thunder, the only Yak-54 flying in the US today. This is a beautiful aircraft with an exceptional history and I really hope to see it flying at airshows once again in the near future."

Russian Thunder has been relocated to Extreme Aerosports HQ in Corvallis, Oregon, USA.
